New Patients 

There’s no better way to become a new patient than to book a dental hygiene appointment. These visits typically last about ninety minutes. Once you’ve booked your appointment, we ask that you arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time in order to fill out new patient paperwork. Please bring your driver’s license, insurance card, and a list of all the medications you currently take.

During a dental hygiene appointment, you can expect us to conduct a comprehensive oral evaluation that includes:

*A review of your medical history
*Full mouth x-rays or a panoramic x-ray
*An oral cancer screening
*An evaluation of your gum health

 In most cases, you will also have a cleaning at this initial appointment. Finally, the dentist will do a full mouth exam, evaluating each tooth individually. After all this vitally important work, we’ll be able to give you personalized hygiene instructions on how to best care for your teeth at home, and determine your specific care and treatment needs going forward.
